WELCOME
We invite you to come and view God’s work in Uganda, Africa. It has only been two years since God began this project in Uganda, but it has been beautiful to see him work in amazing and miraculous ways “to bind up the broken hearted, proclaim freedom for the captives, comfort all who mourn, bestow a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:1-3). It is nothing that we do, but only what God does in and through us that makes a difference and truly brings hope and change to the nation of Uganda. We are honored to be a part of God’s mission of hope to the “treasures in darkness” and welcome you to join us in this important mission. It is our prayer that as you follow God’s heart for Uganda, you will also develop a HEART FOR UGANDA.

Nearing Completion of the Medical Clinic Construction Phase
God miraculously provided the necessary finances and work force to construct a medical clinic. In June 2009, the ground breaking ceremony took place and construction began. Now, seven months later, the structure of the building is almost complete and the workers are focusing on the flooring and painting. We are very excited about the progress of this building and hope to begin offering services by the end of 2010. We are confident that McFarland Memorial Medical Center will be used to save the lives of many!

Bring Life to a Suffering Child in Uganda
If you have the desire to invest in the life of a Ugandan child and impact him or her forever, your opportunity is now! In December 2009, we are beginning a Child Sponsorship Program to provide a better quality of life to orphan and vulnerable children in Kyenjojo. As a result of this program, many children will be given the opportunity to have their basic needs met, attend school, receive adequate health care, and be taught Biblical principles.

Partnership with God’s Care Ministries
Heart for Uganda is partnering with a local Ugandan organization called God’s Care Ministries. God miraculously crossed their paths when the director of this ministry (Pastor Victor Sande) and Alissa were volunteering at a local orphanage. Pastor Victor and Alissa are now happily married and faithfully serving the Lord as a couple. (See Images page for wedding photos.) This ministry partnership has assisted Alissa in pursuing her vision to establish a Children’s Village in Kyenjojo District, as well as bring the hope and love of God to the Ugandan people. Together these organizations are making a difference in the nation of Uganda!

::  The Purchase of 70 acres of land for the Children's Village.

::  The Purchase of a construction vehicle (Lorry Truck).

::  The Purchase of a generator to supply electricity to the Children's Village.

::  The Purchase of the land where God's Care Church is located.

::  The Near Completion of a medical center.

::  The Second Annual Children's Day Event for approximately 500 children.

::  The securing of funds and a location for the Children's Village's water system.

::  The visitation of 2 American teams.

::  The distribution of school supplies, shoes,  clothes, and blankets.

::  The provision of free medical services for three days by an American team.

::  The provision of medical treatment to some of the needy families in the area.

::  The registration of 60 orphans for Child Sponsorship.

::  The start of a Sunday service for the children of Kyenjojo District.

::  Church Growth in God's Care Church.

Project Goals for 2010

::  To construct a water system.

::  To complete the medical center and employ workers to staff it.

::  To fully implement the sponsorship program.

::  To obtain a land title for the children's land.

::  To provide some security for the Children's Village and Pastor Victor and Alissa.

::  To construct at least one children's home.

::  To make a road for the Children's Village.

::  To provide a vehicle for Pastor Victor and Alissa, which would also be used to deliver supplies to the sponsored children.

::  To expand the Children's Ministry in order to better impact the future generation for the Lord.

::  To increase the ministry labor force in Uganda.

::  To continue to develop and cultivate a Heart for Uganda in the lives of many.
