Parental Information:  The father and mother separated, and it is unknown where the father is now.  His mother (Kanyunyuzi Grace) stays with her mother (Tuhaise Florence), Herbert’s grandmother.  The mother sometimes helps to fetch water, but she is not very involved in Herbert’s life and provides no financial assistance to raise him or her other children.  She is often not present in the home.

Guardian Information:  The grandmother (Tuhaise Florence) is his primary caregiver, but she is usually digging in the surrounding areas.  As a result, Herbert and his brothers are left mainly to care for themselves.  The grandmother digs to earn money to support the family. 

Sibling Information:  Herbert has three brothers (Magezi Ronald, Tumuhairwe Reagan, and Tumusiime John).

School Information:  Herbert does not attend school, but he wishes he could go to school. 

Church Information:  Herbert attends Kyenjojo Miracle Centre Church.  He likes going to church.
