Parental Information:  His father died of AIDS.  Later his mother (Kedres) remarried another man.  When she did, she left her two children to be raised with other people.  John was left to be raised with the woman who employed her as a housemaid.

Guardian Information:  A woman who employed John’s mother as a housemaid is now caring for him.  Her name is Kemigisa Peluce.  She sells milk and some of her crops to earn money.  

Sibling Information:  John has one brother, but he does not stay with this brother.  

School Information:  John attends Kyenjojo Primary School.  He is in third grade.  He enjoys going to school.

Church Information:  John attends Kyenjojo Seventh Day Adventist Church.  He likes going to church.

Child’s Home Duties:  Fetching water, collecting firewood, grazing cattle, digging, and washing dishes.

Child’s Favorite Activities:  Playing and singing.

Child’s Favorite Games:  Football.

Child’s Favorite Food:  Millet (flour and water mixture), rice, and beef.

Child’s Career Goal:  John wants to be a teacher when he grows up.

Child’s Top Three Needs:  Books, clothes, and a bicycle.

Child is Happy When… He is told to wash dishes.

Additional Information:  The guardian cares for seven children all together.  When the holidays come, she takes care of fifteen children.
