Parental Information:  His father died of AIDS and his mother (Kugonza Topista) was left alone to raise six children.  She digs and sells food to earn money, but she is unable to provide for all of the needs of her children.

Sibling Information:  He has one brother (Byamukama John) and four sisters (Namara Ireen, Murungi Teddy, Komuhimbo Margaret, and Karungi Beatrice).

School Information:  Rodger attends Katoosa Primary School.  He is in second grade. He enjoys going to school.

Church Information:  Rodger attends Katoosa Catholic Church.  He likes going to church.

Child’s Home Duties:  Fetching water, digging, sweeping the courtyard, and caring for brothers and sisters.

Child’s Favorite Activities:  Playing football.

Child’s Favorite Games:  Football, running and jumping.

Child’s Favorite Food:  Irish potatoes, rice, and beef.

Child’s Career Goal:  Rodger wants to be a senior driver when he grows up.

Child’s Top Three Needs:  Shoes, books, and a ball.

Child is Happy When…  He is given bread.

Additional Information:  The mother is caring for six children by herself.  They stay in a small grass thatched house.  The mother says Rodger’s greatest needs are clothes, shoes, a mattress, and a bed.
