Parental Information:  Both parents died of AIDS.

Guardian Information:  Her grandfather (Mukidi Ngondo Peter) and grandmother (Komukibira Teresa) are caring for her.  They are both very old and frail.  They can do little to earn money.  They try to sell some of their harvest to earn money. 

Sibling Information:  Jovia has two brothers (Mugisa Mukidi and Muhenda Gilbert) and one sister (Kunihira Lillian).  She does not live with one of her brothers (Muhenda Gilbert).

School Information:  Jovia does not attend school.  She began attending school when she first stayed with the grandparents, but she seemed to be mentally impaired.  As a result, she would not be able to find her way to school or back home.  The grandparents decided to keep her home until she got a little older.  Jovia wishes she could go to school.

Church Information:  Jovia attends Misandika Catholic Church.  She likes going to church.

Child’s Home Duties:  Fetching water, washing dishes, digging, and washing dishes.

Child’s Favorite Activities:  Running.

Child’s Favorite Games:  Dodge ball.

Child’s Favorite Food:  Matooke (plantains), rice, beef, and beans.

Child’s Career Goal:  Jovia wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
