Without the prayer and financial support of others, we would be unable to fulfill the dreams that God has laid on their hearts. We do not want to ever underestimate the significant role that each one of you have in God’s ministry for the orphans and needy people of Uganda. No gift and no giver are too small to make a big difference. As you partner with us by praying and giving, you are also touching others lives and bringing hope and life where there was once hopelessness, death, and despair. Your life is impacting the lives of many others, and although you may never meet them on this earth, we strongly believe that your reward in heaven will be very great.
Due to the various expenses that we will face while ministering in Uganda, we will need financial support from others, both on a one time and a regular basis. Alissa has established a Nonprofit Organization in the US so that 100% of the funds can be given to the mission work in Uganda with which she is involved. Short Term & Long Term Trips Are Needed
We would love to have others come and see firsthand what God is doing in Kyenjojo, Uganda. In addition to needing volunteers who have a heart for the Ugandan people and a desire to minister to them, we are in need of people with various skill sets that relate with the current and completed projects. If your are a skilled craftsman with the ability to travel or an individual who is willing to minister love in a variety of ways, please send an e-mail to Alissa Cooper Sande at iluvafrica80@gmail.com to find out more information about short term and long term trips.
Upon completion of the Medical Clinic, we will be seeking medical professionals in short term and long term stays that can assist in the daily operations. If you feel that this is something you can and would like to do, please contact us for more details.

Traveling On My Knees

Last night I took a journey
To a land across the seas.
I didn’t go by ship or plane
I traveled on my knees.
I saw so many people there
In bondage to their sin,
And Jesus told me I should go,
That there were souls to win.
But I said, “Jesus, I can’t go
To lands across the seas.”
He answered quickly, “Yes, you can
By traveling on your knees.”
He said, “You pray, I’ll meet the need.
You call, and I will hear.
It’s up to you to be concerned
For lost souls far and near.”
And so I did: knelt in prayer,
Gave up some hours of ease,
And with the Savior by my side,
I traveled on my knees.
As I prayed on, I saw souls saved
And twisted persons healed,
I saw God’s workers strength renewed
While laboring in the field.
I said, “Yes Lord, I’ll take the job.
Your heart I want to please.
I’ll heed Your call and swiftly go
By traveling on my knees.”
